WHO DID THIS TO ME?

This is the general question the average African asks whenever something goes wrong. There is this widespread tendency to shift blames for misfortunes rather than take responsibility in Africa.
For instance, a man refuses to buy engine oil in his car and gets a knocked engine and he asks “who did this to me?”
He builds a house with inferior materials and the storm comes and destroys his house and he says he is being troubled from his village.
He fails an examination because he did not study well and he says “the lecturer failed me” Blame, blame and blame!
The day a man stops trading blames and accepts responsibility for his actions and life, he begins to chart a new order for his life!
Leadership at all level begins with accepting responsibility. The best way to find leadership is to find those who say “yes” to responsibility.
Be ready to accept responsibility in 2014, otherwise you will end up a liability. Learn to accept responsibility for your life and quit living under the illusion that someone somewhere is responsible for your misfortunes.

See you at the top!
